   The Arctic in Italian literature   

"The Arctic in the Italian literature between the end of the nineteenth and early twentieth century: Pascoli, Salgari and Collodi." 
Italian Ambassador Giorgio Novello will present the Poemi Artici (Arctic Poems) by Giovanni Pascoli, the novels by Emilio Salgari "In the land of the ice" and the adventures of Pinocchio to the Pole (inspired by Carlo Collodi masterpiece). 
The conference will be in Italian with English explanatory interludes, addressed also to a non fluent Italian-speaking public.
